For the sake of experimenting with different social media platforms, I’ve been reading excerpts from “365 Ways to Be More Stoic” on TikTok. I recently decided, however, to read an excerpt from a new book I’m coauthoring with CBT practitioners Scott Waltman and Trent Codd (TBR Winter 2023).
There were two sections I was going back-and-forth between: one about guilt and the other about resilience. After conducting a Twitter poll, asking which subject people would rather hear about, resilience won. I was a bit surprised because I thought perhaps people had grown tired of hearing about resilience in Stoicism and/or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Turns out, I may have been wrong. So, here is my reading of “What is Resilience” from our upcoming book, “The Stoicism Workbook”.
